WS Appoints Director of Structural Engineering Practices

Mr. Jeffrey P. Cook, P.E. has been promoted to the position of Director of Structural Engineering Practices. In this position, Mr. Cook will be focused on the technical leadership of the means and methods to accomplish the engineering work for the corporation. He will be the technical go-to person for the structural engineering domain for Building Envelope Engineering and Consulting within the organization. Mr. Cook will continue to serve as a Senior Engineer and PE in charge, working within the Stow Engineering Department and servicing existing clientele. As an engineering specialist, Mr. Cook is charged with the interpretation of codes and standards for the department, implementation of new software templates and platforms, analysis techniques and assumptions, technical manuals, training guides, and creative applications for structural solutions. Mr. Cook will lead the charge for technical innovations within the organization to better serve the needs of our clients.

Mr. Cook is a veteran employee of Wheaton Sprague, having initially served as a co-op engineer with the firm through the University of Akron while he was in college. Following experience with GBC Design and GPD Associates, both of Akron, OH, Jeff returned to Wheaton Sprague in 2004. Since then, he has moved up the ranks within the engineering department, leading large-scale and increasingly complex projects. Jeff is a licensed engineer in the states of Missouri, Ohio, Virginia and Washington.
